Your Lantern Buddy can race! Six tracks, kind power-ups, medals to win, a kart workshop and your friends' ghost laps to beat.
What's new
Your Lantern Buddy has learned to drive! Lantern Race is a kart racing game with six tracks, one in each habitat: a mossy mushroom loop, a sandy shore, a dash through a giant workshop, a plank road over the clouds, crystal caves at night and a meadow full of flowers.
The power-ups are kind ones. Firefly Boost, Bubble Shield, Tailwind, Petal Path and Lantern Glow all help you along, and nobody can be knocked out. Use Lantern Glow to find the hidden paths beside the road: they're faster than the road itself.
Win medals on every track, then head to the kart workshop to choose your kart's body, paint, wheel trims, a sticker from your sticker book, a horn and a glow trail.
How it works
- Open Play, then Lantern Race. Pick a track, choose Gentle or Zippy, and press Start.
- Your kart drives by itself: steer with the arrows, and tap the power-up button to use a power-up.
- Finishing a race earns lantern light, more for a higher place, up to 20 a day. Race for fun as much as you like.
- Your best lap on each track becomes a ghost your friends can race, and you can race theirs. Times are only shared with friends you've added with a friend code.
